I bought 2 baby turtles last summer thinking I could release them but cannot because they are not native. One is a redslider, the other looks similar with yellow spots. The slider has not grown. I cannot care for them because I am hadicapped. they need a home with a proper setep and someone with experience. Pet stores cannot take them. I am told they are common turtles that people have. They are living in a pan and I don't want them to suffer. I am in New Windsor NY. One has grown the other has not and I have been feeding a store bought turtle food. Please help.
