Individual is responsible to help develop and implement Recreational & Social Activity programing for group and individual participation for Senior Citizens in an Adult Care Facility.
Individual will also be responsible to get along with other Staff and help in all other aspects of The Home including Personal Care, Dietary and Housekeeping.
Full-Time Saturday through Wednesday 8 am to 4 pm Call (845) 255-7010
Duties
Develop and execute a variety of recreational activities that cater to Residents’ interests, abilities, and care needs.
Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and family members to create individualized activity plans that support Residents’ physical, emotional, and social health.
Lead group activities such as arts and crafts, music, exercise classes, games, and community outings to foster engagement and joy.
Manage scheduling of daily activities while ensuring flexibility to accommodate residents’ changing needs and preferences.
Monitor participation levels and gather feedback to continually improve program offerings.
Skills
Experience in program planning & familiarity with long-term care environments preferred.
Strong understanding of geriatrics preferred.
Excellent communication skills to effectively engage residents of all cognitive levels while fostering a positive atmosphere.
Ability to develop creative programs tailored to diverse needs while managing schedules efficiently.
Compassionate approach combined with strong organizational skills to manage multiple activities simultaneously while ensuring safety standards are met.
