Guitarist/Vocalist Looking For A Drummer To Jam At Open Mic Nights

I’m a rhythm guitarist and songwriter who’s a veteran of the NYC Lower East Side “scene” of the 1990s and early 2000s. I used to practically live at CBGB and Kenny’s Castaways. Now, as I approach my 55th birthday, I’m happy with the life I’ve carved out up here in Orange County, but I DO miss rockin’ & a-rollin’.
I’m looking for a drummer. I don’t want to start a band. I just want to take my old Rickenbacker and walk into a bar, club or pizzeria on a random open mic night and lay down some good old fashioned loud electric rock. No originals, just two or three cool old covers. “Slow Down”, That’s Alright Mama” and maybe a 70s or 80s tune. That’s it.
I play rhythm and sing. You play drums. If you can sing, bonus. But if not, NO prob. I got enough mouth for both of us.
I just want to feel alive again. No expectations of anything else except the hum of an amp, a few power chords with a backbeat with a couple of cold ones on an off night.
No rehearsals, no commitments and - most especially - NO money! I ain’t in this for a buck.
