SUMMARY
We are seeking a dependable Production Associate to support manufacturing operations within a fast-paced production environment. This role assists in the preparation, handling, packaging, and movement of materials while ensuring strict adherence to safety, quality, and inventory control standards. This is a temporary assignment expected to last approximately 8 weeks, with the opportunity to revisit extension at the end of the assignment period. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support production operations by assisting with material handling and preparation of raw ingredients used in manufacturing processes.
- Accurately follow written and verbal instructions related to measurements, handling procedures, and product specifications.
- Package and label finished goods in preparation for shipment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal standards.
- Utilize automated inventory and material management systems (such as ERP platforms) to track production activity and material movement.
- Operate equipment including conveyors, forklifts, and related production machinery in accordance with safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions.
- Maintain proper inventory practices including FIFO methodology, accurate quantity tracking, movement documentation, and location management.
- Inspect tools and equipment prior to use; promptly report any malfunction, damage, or safety concerns before operation.
- Identify and communicate environmental, health, and safety concerns to leadership to ensure corrective action.
- Consistently follow all safety policies, compliance requirements, and operational procedures to prevent workplace injuries and losses.
- Work overtime as required to support production needs.
- Take initiative in completing assigned tasks independently once trained, while working under periodic supervision.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions with strong attention to accuracy.
- Experience operating production equipment and material handling machinery preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory systems or ERP software (e.g., SAP or similar systems) is a plus.
- Understanding of warehouse and inventory practices including FIFO and inventory movement tracking.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance standards.
- Ability to work in a physically active production environment.
- Dependable with the ability to work independently after training.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
