Animal Dermatology & Allergy Specialists is seeking a veterinary receptionist. We are a veterinary referral practice specializing in dermatology.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (including but not limited to) : excellent client service skills; excellent phone skills; computer skill preferred; must be friendly, outgoing “people oriented”; excellent communication skills; ability to work in a team oriented environment; well groomed, organized and detail oriented, ability to take direction, ability to handle money accurately and honestly; possess sound decision making skills and multi-task while working in a stressful environment.
Qualities: takes initiative, commitment to the needs of the clinic, commitment to work schedule, willingness to teach others and share ideas, openness to diversity, adaptability to change, accountability, able to see big picture, professionalism, self-starter.
Duties (including but not limited to): client service, answer telephones and make appointments, maintain charts and computer records, pharmacy and retail sales, marketing implementation, financial responsibilities.
Education and Physical Requirements: high school diploma or equivalent required, must have experience working in the public (ie: restaurant, retail or service business), experience in a veterinary hospital or doctor’s office is a plus, dependable attendance is required, must be able to lift 40 pounds, the ability to walk, bend, stand or reach constantly during a minimum 8-hour day.
