This Marklin Z gauge model train set is in the most excellent condition of any circa 1974 and 1975. It is listed as used, but most of it has never been used! It includes 7 freight cars, 1 passenger car, and 1 caboose, as well as a variety of accessories like buildings, track extension kits, and landscape elements. The track extension kits include layout design ideas as well as in the catalogs or go with the Toporama landscape. Most of the tracks are unused. I set this up once with switches and extra track but never had the patience to make the entire elaborate landscape. Now that I have 30 years of technical experience, it would be simple for me. I'm just too busy for this hobby. I pulled this out of our basement and had it running in no time. Just a little oil and a wipe down of the track with denatured alcohol was all it took. The 6 model buildings have never been assembled. They include 2 large stations, 1 small station, 1 house, 1 apartment house, and 1 locomotive shed. There are also little people and livestock to add to the scenery. Two catalogs from 1974-5 are included, and will have you amazed at the level of quality, craftsmanship, and sophistication of Marklin train sets. You will also be amazed at the prices in these catalogs. Everything is in its original box, and nothing is lost, missing, or broken. There is a little bottle of oil too. If you always wanted a set like this, now is your big chance! I don't know what Marklin trains are like now, but I know the quality of this set is top notch.
