14’ Ross Lillistone “Flint” design plywood home-built rowing boat/skiff. Hull is solid and in excellent shape. The interior needs regular seasonal maintenance: paint and brightwork. Has HIN and registration. Includes a like-new Venture trailer (about $2500 new) and a new set of oarlocks.
We are also selling a like-new Honda BF2.3 (2 HP) air cooled outboard with less than 10 hours ($800 new) and a pair of very lightweight 7’ Shaw and Tenney spoon oars ($430 new). These are SOLD SEPARATELY. If you want to buy the whole package, we can negotiate on price.
The Flint is designed primarily as a rowboat, and moves quickly and easily under oars. It’s designed to track well even in a crosswind, to handle chop without pounding, and make longer voyages under the power of a small outboard. It has ample freeboard forward and a sharp, flared-V forefoot with more curvature than seems possible from plywood. The bottom fills out to a shallow V amidships and rises just enough aft to give the waterline the clean exit of a double-ender.
All proceeds benefit public youth and adult woodworking classes at Hudson River Maritime Museum.
