This antique china cabinet was made by Maddox Tables of Jamestown, NY. It’s got glass doors and 2 drawers for silverware, or whatever, above. It’s got 2 removable shelves inside, and in conjunction with the bottom of the cabinet, allows for 3 shelves for dishes, etc. It’s in pretty good shape, but does have some issues, which I will tell you about. I’m not sure how old it is. I don’t think it’s a super-old antique, but I’ve had it for over 30 years, and it was already an antique when I got it. My guess is that it’s from the late 1950s, give or take a decade. Measurements are 42Hx36Wx13D.
The main condition issue, really the only condition issue, is that my son gouged the top when he was a young child. Take a look at the pics. It’s all there in all its glory! LOL. Yeah, he did a pretty good job scratching it up, but the rest is in fine shape, mostly, (see pics), and you could either refinish the top, lay a pad or something on top to hide the scratches, or live with it and put stuff on top of the main areas where the scratches are, to hide them from casual view. All of that, is, obviously up to you, if you buy it, but I’ve tried to be thorough with the pictures, and show all sides and angles of the unit, so, please take a look at them, and that way there’ll be no surprises. BTW, the last 2 pics are the 2 shelves, both sides, and, what looks like a label in the first pic, lower right, is just a reflection in the glass.
This unit served my family well for 30 years, and now it’s time to pass it on.
Thanks for looking.
