This is an antique Singer, the Cadillac of sewing machines, machine and table combo, but let’s establish, right off the bat, that I know nothing about sewing machines. So, according to my former wife, who I’m listing this item for, it is industrial strength, and will sew leather, canvas, and other thick and/or tough material. I know it’s old, but I don’t know how old. My intuitive guess would be close to 100 years old, but it’s probably more like 80 or 90. I believe the machine is pedal driven, although I’m not sure. It does have an electric light attached to the table, but I didn’t see any electric connection on the machine, itself. Mighta missed it, but probably not, so I’m assuming pedal driven, even though it has the electric light. Also, the table might be newer than the machine.
Measurements are 48Wx24Hx20D, and that’s about all I know. If you do have questions, feel free to send ‘em along, and if I don’t know the answer, I’ll ask my wife.
Added information based on an email from a helpful CL user who knows more than me about this item: apparently, the machine is not pedal driven, as I had originally suspected. Also, the belt is missing in these pictures, but I have a brand new one that will be included. Finally, I will be checking the plate on the machine in the next few days for a model number, and will post it as soon as I have it. Thanks for reading.
