Mid Hudson Animal Aid is a no kill, independent free range cat sanctuary in Beacon, NY. We are in need of some volunteers to help us keep the shelter healthy and happy! Any time you can give will be so appreciated, even if it is only a few hours. We are here 9-4 every day. Just come by for whatever time you have. Our address is 54 Simmons lane, in Beacon. We are right off 9d near the Fishkill creek. You will love it here! This is a happy place, not a sad shelter!!! Please call for more info at 831-4321. We also will be having a project day on Sunday November 22 from 9-4. It would be a great day to start.

Here are some things we need people to do:
Clean up after the cats. Change the litter and sweep and mop.

Do laundry! We have a little laundry room where you can hang out and just wash towels and fold clothing. We wash litter pans too.

Hang out with a cat! We always have a cat or two hanging around that could use a little extra love. They may be stuck waiting in intake, or maybe its a brand new kitten not ready to go out to the big room yet! If you come in for this we will assign you a cat to love!

Sort out the donations. Just help us put things away.

Clean up outside...rake, sweep, etc.

Random chores too...little things we haven't gotten to.
