i think that is a great idea. i just want you to know that since some people are so rude. "don't buy a gift cert to a pet shop", please.. so he obviously must feed his dogs crummy food and not buy nice toys, leashes or bowls.. whatever... ignore those people. Not to mention there are petstores like petsmart and petco that work with rescue not puppy mills. you are doing something nice by not selling your pet for profit, i applaude you.
